Sprinkle Crumble directions
  1. preheat the oven to 300F, line a sheet pan with parchment paper of silpat. Combine the sugars, flour, baking powder, salt and sprinkle in a medium sized bowl . With a rubber spatula, mix until well combined. Add the oil and vanilla and mix on low speed until small clusters form. Spread the clusters on the sheet pan and bake for 20 minutes, breaking up the clusters during the baking. Let the crumbs cool and break them more. Set aside.

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F Spray the sides of a quarter sheet and place silpat. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour,BP, soal and sprinkles. Combine the butter and sugars in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment and cream together on medium- high for 2-3 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the bowl, add the eggs and mix on meidum-high for 2-3 minutes. On low speed gradually pour in the buttermilk mixture, Increase the mixer speed to med and beat for 4-6 minutes, until mixture has nearly douled in size and is completely smooth. Stop mixer and scrape sides of the bowl. Onlow speed, gradually add the flour mixture and mix just until the batter comes together , about 1 minute. scrape down the sides of the bowl and give the batter a final mix with a rubber spatula. Spread the cake batter in an even layer in the pan. Sprinkle the remaining tablespoons rainbow evenly on top of the batter. Bake the cake for 35 minutes. Cake should bounce back slightly and the center should no longer be jiggly. Let the cake cool.
Birthday Cake Frosting directions
  1. Add everything in a mixer except for the buttermilk and mix on low speed for 2-3 minutes to incorporate. Once smooth, slowly drizzle the buttermilk and continue to mix until smooth. Set aside. Don’t refrigerate so it can be spooned in to the mason jar. It should be very soft and fluid.
Assembling the mason jars
  1. 1) bottom layer of mason jar is packed with cake cut into cubes. 2) cake is sprinkled with milk soak. 3) Frosting is spooned over milk soaked cake. 4) Repeat cake cubes 5) milk soak 6) Frosting 7) SPRINKLE crumble This should fill 5- 6 ounce mason jars. Put them in the fridge until they’re ready to eat or freeze and eat like a frozen cake.
