I’m Cassandra, former Pastry Chef, now a specialty foods sales manager and a passionate food blogger. I love all things food. Cooking is very creative and spontaneous. Baking is therapeutic. Let me share with you culinary tricks & short cuts to create amazing tasty food. I blog – for the love of food!
I live in sunny So. Florida with my soul-mate Marc. We live with our 2 rescued English Bull Terriers- Spuds and Millie. Between Marc and I, we have 5 handsome sons.
I’ve done lots of fun things as a Pastry Chef and I hope to share some of these culinary adventures with you.
Where I come from: City of Food!
A transplanted New Yorker, now living in West Palm Beach. With an Accounting degree, a Culinary Baking certificate and a NYC mindset- Is why I am where I am today. I am a New York City girl. Growing up in ASTORIA was amazing. The ethnic diversity of my neighborhood and the amazing food choices have always been so important to me. Beware of people who don’t like food.
I have always been drawn to the COOKING PROCESS: making food. planning the menu, buying the ingredients, preparing the dish, to finally photographing and EATING the food.
Many, many years ago, when I would spend my summers in Haiti, I would visit my aunt Ginette who owned a fabulous bakery- La Patisserie in Port-au-Prince. Unbeknownst to me, the bakery formed my love with food. My Aunt was trained in Pastry and her bakery was the center of all things good. Little did I know, that I’d end up in the same profession.
Let me show you through my recipes, photographs and my visits with local chefs how much fun cooking and baking can be.
